Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild

The Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild was established in 1983, back in the days of hops for homebrewing being sold unrefrigerated in small brown paper bags (so I'm told).

The club presents the annual Great Taste of the Midwestsm craft beer festival, North America's second longest-running event of its kind and an annual Big and Huge Homebrew Competition for high-gravity beers.

Club activities include weekly meetings, monthly brewery and beer-related tours within an hour of Madison, an annual weekend bus trip, group brewing sessions, judge training exercises, public education on beer and beer heritage, and more.

Membership is only $10 per year and entitles you to club discounts on homebrewing supplies and draught beer at our favourite local. For information, see the website about membership or write to us at:

Please note that the Juno e-mail address previously associated with the club has been cancelled. We got too much spam on it, and Juno made some undesirable changes in the terms of service. See the club website for a new contact or sign up for the Great Taste Yahoo! Group for updates on the festival and websites.
