Wisconsin columnist for Great Lakes Brewing News, the most comprehensive beer newspaper covering craft brewing in the entire Great Lakes Region.

Member of the North American Guild of Beer Writers. Quill and Tankard Awards: 1998 Brewery Profile (Hon. Mention), 2000 Travel Feature (Silver), 2001 Culture Feature (Gold)

Past Vice President of the Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild (1993-2000), and currently an organiser of the Great Taste of the Midwest^sm, which is North America's second longest-running craft beer festival.

Active judge in the Beer Judge Certification Program since 1993. Current rank: National judge.

World Beer Cup 2000 Judge.
